When a client’s delivery method is set to paper, SmartDocs generates a letter automatically when you process the client’s document. The white Word icon appears in SmartDocs processing.
If the document requires Approval, the binoculars icon displays on the Outstanding Workflows list so you can preview the letter.
A Preview Letter button also appears in the workflow after you click the Update Workflow icon and remains available until you delete the document from ATO SmartDocs processing.
Click the binoculars icon or the Preview Letter button to preview the letter and the document.
Note: You cannot print the letter from within the workflow. SmartDocs applies the letterhead template only after you download the letter from ATO SmartDocs.
Download the letter(s) from the ATO SmartDocs processing screen and print them from the Letters folder inside the Archive.zip file. The Letters folder contains the processed client document and the generated letter with the applied letterhead.
You can download all processed documents together and print them from the Letters folder, or you can download only the letters for clients with a paper delivery method as shown below.
