Use this procedure to allow clients to send emails from their server using the SendGrid SMTP relay.

Create a SendGrid account with SMTP configuration

  1. After you create your SendGrid account, log in to ATO SmartDocs via https://login.ipracticehub.com
    Go to Setup > Configuration > Integration.

  2. Choose SendGrid from the Integration dropdown list.

  3. Enter the following settings:

    • API Name – SendGrid API

    • API Key – the email address you want to send emails from

    • Account Key – the secret key generated in SendGrid

  4. Select Update.

  5. When you connect for the first time, a permissions screen may appear. Accept the permissions to complete the setup.

  6. If the integration connects successfully, you will see a confirmation message.

Send a test email

  1. Go to the iTools tile.

  2. Select Email.

  3. Select Send email.

  4. Enter the From address, To address, subject and message body.

  5. Select Send.
