Data Refresh CCH iFirm

Follow these steps to refresh your CCH iFirm data.

Part 1 - Extract reports from iFrom & Xero XPM

First, download both required reports.

  1. Download two reports:

    • One report from iFirm (Contacts Report)

    • One report from XPM (Estimated Tax Report)

  2. In iFirm, run the report located in your favourites called Contact Details or ATO SmartDocs report. A CSV file will download.

  3. In XPM, go to Reports > Report Builder and open ATO SmartDocs Estimated Tax. Export the report as a CSV file.

  4. When both reports have been exported, they will appear in your Downloads folder.


Part 2 - Upload reports to ATO SmartDocs

  1. After saving both .csv files using the steps above, open the HubData tab within the ATOSmartDoc processing screen.

  2. Drag and drop the .csv files into the “Drop your CSV data document here” area, ensuring that the mouse pointer is within the dotted box.

  3. When the pop‑up appears, select the following options:

    • Master file: Contact Details.csv

    • File name column for ATO SmartDocs Estimated Tax: ClientClientCode

    • File name column for Contact Details: Code

  4. Select Confirm and then select OK to overwrite the existing viewing fields.

Your data is now up to date.
